Building Xhost: The World's Easiest Hosting Platform
When we set out to build Xhost, the goal was simple: make hosting easy and fruitful for everyone, from complete beginners to enterprise-level clients. Too many hosting platforms bury simple tasks under layers of configuration that only make sense to people who already know what they're doing. We wanted something different.
Xhost was launched as part of TDI's first wave of products, alongside Xecute — our online IDE for students and beginners. Both were built with the same philosophy: technology should lower the barrier to entry, not raise it.
Our mission is to deliver world-class technology solutions with transparency and excellence, empowering clients and enabling our team to grow through purposeful, impactful work.
Today, Xhost powers a growing share of TDI's own infrastructure, including platforms like Aether and several client projects. It's a core part of our revenue model too — hosting plans and managed services provide the recurring revenue that helps fund development of newer products like ZEDx AI.
Why Simplicity Matters
Most of TDI's products, including Xhost itself, have been built and maintained largely from a smartphone. That constraint shaped how we think about design: if a workflow is too complicated to manage on a small screen, it's probably too complicated, period. That same principle guided the Xhost dashboard and onboarding flow.
What's Next
As TDI grows — expanding into 3D printing manufacturing and building out ZEDx, our AI omni-tool — Xhost remains a foundation the rest of the TDI ecosystem builds on. We're continuing to invest in reliability and ease of use as the platform scales toward supporting more enterprise clients.
If you're curious to try it, Xhost is live now at xhost.tdiverse.com.
